Big Garage Sale

Bargain hunters get ready to visit the “Big Worcestershire Garage Sale” – Map available

Bargain hunters will have the chance to flock to more than 500 garage sales across Worcestershire on Saturday 8 June, thanks to local estate agency Nicol & Co.

The ‘Big Worcestershire Garage Sale’ is thought to be one of the world’s biggest ever, with only the state of Tennessee in the USA known to be regularly holding larger ones.

The mass community event is taking place at multiple addresses on a total of 119 streets in Droitwich, Worcester, Malvern and the surrounding areas, with tens of thousands of visitors expected to be picking up bargains.

The Ultimate Guide

Event Details:

Date: Saturday 8th June

Time: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Location: Listed below and accessible via the digital map

What to Expect:

The Big Worcestershire Garage Sale is a community-wide event where residents set up garage sales at their homes on the same day. You can expect to find a diverse range of items for sale, from antiques and collectibles to gently-used clothing, household items, and more. It’s the perfect opportunity to find unique treasures, snag incredible deals, and support your local community.

Are you a buyer looking to take part:

1. Plan your route: A few days before the event, an official map featuring all participating homes will be available for download on our website, or you can access our digital map here. Use the map to plan your shopping route and maximise your time.

2. Shop till you drop: On the day of the event, head out with your friends, family, or neighbours to explore the many garage sales across Worcestershire. Don’t forget to bring cash, as most sellers won’t be able to accept card payments.

3. Share your finds: After the event, share your best bargains and memorable moments on social media using the hashtag #BigWorcestershireGarageSale. We love seeing your amazing discoveries!

Tips for a Successful Garage Sale Experience:

  • Bring small notes and change, as not all sellers may have enough to provide change for large notes.
  • Wear comfortable shoes and clothing, as you’ll be walking between different garage sales.
  • Bring a reusable shopping bag or a small trolley to carry your purchases.
  • Be prepared to haggle, but always be polite and respectful in your negotiations.
  • Arrive early to get the best selection, but also consider visiting sales later in the day for potential price reductions.
