Renters’ Rights Act
If you let your property under an Assured Shorthold Tenancy, the changes introduced by the Renters’ Rights Act will affect you. The Act received Royal Assent on 27 October 2025, with initial measures introduced from 27 December 2025 and the full reforms taking effect from 1 May 2026. These changes reshape how tenancies are created, managed and ended. It is essential that landlords understand their responsibilities and remain compliant.
