17 years of Nicol & Co: celebrating the people and places we call home
On 1 October 2026, Nicol & Co turns 17. What began as a one-man estate agency in a small Droitwich Spa office has grown into an award-winning business with offices in Droitwich, Malvern and Worcester. Through it all, our love of Worcestershire has stayed at the heart of what we do.
Matt Nicol founded the company in 2009 with a clear vision: to bring integrity, transparency and remarkable service to estate agency. Seventeen years later, our team still shares that commitment, whether we’re helping someone find their first home, guiding a family through a sale or supporting a landlord with their property.
Worcestershire is a wonderful place to live. From its rolling hills and lively towns to its schools, local businesses and close-knit communities, there’s so much here to be proud of. We live here, we love it here, and we enjoy helping others feel at home here too.
17 years in numbers
Since we opened our doors, we’ve helped people with 6,997 property sales. Along the way, 1,866 five-star Google reviews have given us something we value enormously: the knowledge that our service has made a difference to the people we work with.
We’re also grateful to the 32,134 people following us on Facebook and 5,435 following us on Instagram. Thank you for sharing your moves with us, cheering on our team and joining in with the local stories we love to tell.
Today, our dedicated Lettings and Land and New Homes teams work alongside our sales colleagues to help people at different stages of their property journey. We’re proud of the awards we’ve won across Worcestershire, but it’s the trust people place in us every day that means the most.
Giving back to Worcestershire
Being part of a community means more than working in it. Over the years, we’ve supported local school fairs, sports clubs, charitable causes and projects, including the rebuilding of the children’s play area at Droitwich’s Lido Park. During the pandemic, we donated to the NHS for every new instruction and provided tablets to three local primary schools to help children learn remotely.
Our Community Fund carries that commitment forward. With every property we sell, we donate £50 to a school or community project chosen by the seller. Together with our other fundraising and community support, we’ve now contributed more than £110,000 to local causes.
That’s why we’re especially pleased to be a nominee for Business Community Champion at the Droitwich Spa Business Awards 2026. We’ll keep our fingers crossed, but being recognised alongside others who care deeply about the area already means a great deal.
