We’re thrilled to announce that our community event is returning for an even bigger and better experience in 2024. Save the date: Saturday 8th June!
Last year’s event was a massive success, with sellers and buyers participating across more than 45 streets in the county. Homeowners had the opportunity to declutter their homes and sell unwanted items while connecting with their neighbours.
This year, we are hoping to make the event even more remarkable. Our Managing Director, Matt Nicol, emphasises that ‘The Big Worcestershire Garage Sale’ is not just about selling items; it’s about fostering community connections and sustainability.
We’ve built on our approach from last year and have fine-tuned our approach. We will also be providing helpful hints and tips to assist sellers with their sorting and packaging process leading up to the event. Additionally, we’ll offer signage to promote streets, along with maps where homeowners are participating.
Matt Nicol shared his excitement, saying, “Our launch event last summer was fantastic, with overwhelming positive feedback from participants. This year, we’re aiming for an even bigger turnout, welcoming back last year’s participants and inviting new households to join in.”

How to Participate:
1. Sign up: If you’re a Worcestershire resident interested in hosting a garage sale, make sure to register your home by 29th May to be included on the official map. You can register by emailing [email protected] or by DM’ing us on social media.
2. Plan your route: A few days before the event, an official map featuring all participating homes will be available for download on our website. Use the map to plan your shopping route and maximise your time.
3. Shop till you drop: On the day of the event, head out with your friends, family, or neighbours to explore the many garage sales across Worcestershire. Don’t forget to bring cash, as most sellers won’t be able to accept card payments.
4. Share your finds: After the event, share your best bargains and memorable moments on social media using the hashtag #BigWorcestershireGarageSale. We love seeing your amazing discoveries!
Tips for a Successful Garage Sale Experience:
- Bring small notes and change, as not all sellers may have enough to provide change for large notes.
